Matt has been a part of the Nashville Music Scene since 1993. He is a 3-time Grammy-nominated producer and engineer with 6, #1 singles to his credits. Along with those #1’s have come ACM & CMA Song Of The Year awards for “I Drive Your Truck” (performed by Lee Brice). His Canadian artist discography has garnered 2, #1 singles with Aaron Goodvin as well as a Juno, Record Of The Year nomination, and CCMA Song Of The Year nominations. McClure's music repertoire as a producer has yielded multi-platinum success and garnered over 5 ½ Billion streams. Matt has produced, engineered and/or mixed for such artists as Dylan Scott, Kellie Pickler, Jon Langston, The Washboard Union, Lindsay Ell, George Ducas, Jacob Bryant, Ruthie Collins, Halfway to Hazard, Sam Grow, Eric Burgett, Cody Webb, Scotty James, Stephanie Quayle, Lucas Hoge, Seth Cook, Joel Fry, Jeremy Dallas, Nice Horse, Brooklyn Blackmore, Richard Schroder, and Grayson Rogers. Prior to his success as a Record Producer, McClure spent 12 years as a road manager, production manager, and/or Front of House Engineer for many of Nashville’s finest, including Tanya Tucker, LoneStar, Jo Dee Messina, James Bonamy, Michael Peterson, Chely Wright, and Steve Holy. His studio session career began to unfold during his road career. He built a successful recording business working directly with publishers cutting songs for Nashville’s premier songwriters, producing and cutting nearly 5,000 song demos in under 10 years. Well over 100 of those clients’ demos went on to be #1’s for artists like George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, Billy Currington, Blake Shelton, and Rascal Flatts, just to name a few. The newest chapter in McClure’s career, now brings together almost 3 decades of experience in the music business, drawing from multiple hats worn throughout his tenure in Nashville. As CEO/Owner of B2S, Matt guides the artists he manages, produces, and promotes, developing short-term and long-term strategies to guide each of them to and through a successful Artist music career.
Alex Kidd | President / Partner
Kidd met Matt & Renee McClure in 2012 while serving as an intern at Matt’s recording studio, “The Roost”. In May 2015, Kidd graduated with a degree in commercial music and music business from Millikin University. Shortly thereafter, he made a move to Nashville, TN, and began a career in tour management and assisting Matt in his recording studio. Kidd has toured with such artists as Drew Baldridge, Stephanie Quayle, Keith Anderson, James Wesley, Mark Leach, Seth Cook, Eric Burgett, and Haeley Vaughn. In the spring of 2017, Kidd received a Master of Business Administration degree from Davenport University. Kidd has a deep understanding of social media, sales, branding, and marketing. He grew up in and around music, playing trumpet and piano since his childhood. In January 2022, Kidd became President and partner in Bow To Stern. His role is essential in managing clients in day-to-day operations. In 2022, Kidd took the lead in organizing the first annual BIG Baldridge and Bonfire music festival in Patoka, IL. With over 2,500 in attendance, the one-day festival includes a number of local country acts as well as national acts Craig Campbell and Drew Baldridge.
Renee McClure | VP of A&R / Operations
Renee draws her experience from over 16 years in small market radio promotions. Her prior role as VP of Promotion at GrassRoots (Voted Country Aircheck’s #1 Independent promotion company in 2015, 2017, 2019 & 2021), included client relations, sales, overseeing all daily operations, airplay promotion, radio touring, and artist tour support. During her tenure, Renee has executed promotion efforts for such artists as Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Lee Brice, Mitchell Tenpenny, Dolly Parton, Shenandoah, Jo Dee Messina, Brett Eldredge, Pam Tillis, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Isaacs, Tenille Arts, Caitlyn Smith, Logan Mize, and many others. Early on, Renee spent many years touring and performing as an independent artist followed by 8 years in corporate sales management. She’s combined those experiences and brought her expertise to the company’s clients. Renee has been Matt’s #1 A&R advisor throughout his career. Not only does she advise him on hit song choices, but she’s also an integral part of the final decision-making of the company. Renee has been in the Nashville music community for over 26 years. She understands the needs of artists, specifically the resources necessary to develop a growth strategy for building a solid long-term career.
